- Tommy Lee Jones' daughter, Victoria Jones, has died at age 34, has confirmed.

- A San Francisco Fire Department official tells EW they responded to a medical emergency call on New Year's Day.**

- "Paramedics from the fire department performed an assessment. The person was declared deceased," the official says in an email.

The daughter of Oscar-winning actor Tommy Lee Jones, Victoria Jones, died at age 34 on New Year's Day,* *has confirmed.

After reports circulated that Victoria — the youngest of the *Fugitive* and *Men In Black* actor's two children — died on the holiday, an official from the San Francisco Fire Department tells EW via email that units responded to "a report of a medical emergency" at around 2:52 a.m. local time on Jan. 1.****"Upon arrival, paramedics from the fire department performed an assessment. The person was declared deceased," the email continues, noting that the medical examiner's office was called to the scene at 950 Mason Street, which marks the location of the city's Fairmont hotel.

The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner tells EW in a statement that they eventually "identified the decedent as Victoria Jones, 34," and that "her legal next of kin have been notified" of her death.**

A representative for the San Francisco Police Department additionally tells EW that officers arrived to the scene at approximately 3:14 a.m. local time, in response to a "report of a deceased person" at the location.

"At the scene, officers met with medics, who declared the adult female deceased," the email continues. "The Medical Examiner arrived on scene and conducted an investigation."**

In a statement to EW, Fairmont hotel representative Michelle Heston writes, "We are deeply saddened by an incident that occurred at the hotel on Jan. 1, 2026. Our heartfelt condolences are with the family and loved ones during this very difficult time. The hotel team is actively cooperating and supporting police authorities within the framework of the ongoing investigation."**

A representative for the actor did not immediately respond to EW's request for comment.

Victoria was one of two children born to the Academy Award-winning actor and his ex-wife, Kimberlea Cloughley. The former pair also have a son, 43-year-old Austin Jones.

Prior to her death, Victoria appeared in a few of her father's movie projects, including her first acting role in the 2002 blockbuster sequel *Men In Black II*, which starred Tommy and Will Smith.

Later, she appeared in one episode of the popular teen TV series *One Tree Hill*, and, at age 14, Victoria had a small role in 2005's *The Three Burials of Melquiades Estrada*, a western film directed by her father that also starred Barry Pepper and *Mad Men*'s January Jones.**

“She’s a good actress, has her SAG card, speaks impeccable Spanish,” Jones said of Victoria's performance in a 2006 interview with *The New Yorker.* “When she was a baby, I told Leticia, her nurse, to speak to her in Spanish."

He later opened up about having to fire her from the production because she refused to come to set on time.

"She had to get up at 5 a.m. for her part. One morning, she wouldn’t get out of bed. I said, ‘Honey, this is work,'" Jones told the publication at the time. "But she wouldn’t budge. So I fired her. Then, without telling me, the production staff went over and woke her and rushed her out to the set just in time."
