Taylor Swift reflected on attending and performing at the 2026 Academy Museum Gala in a new Instagram post

“A night at the museum I’ll never forget! Thank you to the @academymuseum for inviting us,” wrote Swift alongside photos from the event

At the event, Swift performed a set of “Blank Space,” “The Fate of Ophelia,” “Love Story” and her Toy Story 5 soundtrack cut “I Knew It, I Knew You”

The 2026 Academy Museum Gala was a night to remember for Taylor Swift.

After the 14-time Grammy winner, 36, attended and delivered a performance of hits at the 2026 Academy Museum Gala in Los Angeles over the weekend, she reflected on the occasion in a post shared to Instagram on Tuesday, Oct. 20.

“A night at the museum I’ll never forget! Thank you to the @academymuseum for inviting us,” wrote Swift alongside photos from the event, where she wore a custom ice blue Dior gown.

At the event, Swift performed a set of “Blank Space,” “The Fate of Ophelia,” “Love Story” and her Toy Story 5 soundtrack cut “I Knew It, I Knew You.”

“Getting to perform with the band again for the first time in almost 2 years was a VIBE,” continued Swift’s Instagram caption. “And I got to sit with my @toystory 5 family.”

The “Opalite” singer’s post featured photos from the event, including one of herself and Joan Cusack — the voice of Jessie in Toy Story 5, a.k.a. the character that inspired “I Knew It, I Knew You.”

Released in June, “I Knew It, I Knew You” reached No. 1 on both the Billboard Hot 100 and U.S. country radio and became her first track to top the genre-specific list in 13 years.

Earlier this month, Swift’s appearance at the 2026 Academy Museum Gala was announced. “Taylor is an extraordinary talent whose work resonates around the world,” said Amy Homma, Director and President of the Academy Museum and Academy Collection, in a statement.

Homma continued, “We are thrilled to welcome her to this year’s gala and look forward to her performance to close a wonderful evening of honoring three extraordinary filmmakers and supporting the Academy Museum’s mission to celebrate and preserve cinema.”
