Shakira can count on her supportive sons to be by her side.
The "She Wolf" singer is preparing to co-headline the first-ever World Cup Final halftime show, but in addition to being an international superstar, the entertainer is a mom to her two sons, whom she shares with former soccer player Gerard Piqué. Shakira welcomed Milan in January 2013, followed by Sasha in January 2015.
Shakira and Piqué separated in 2022, and the singer credits her children with helping her through the split.
“Motherhood makes you strong," she told PEOPLE in June 2026. "The moment I became a mother, I saw life through a different perspective, and my kids are not only the best thing that happened to me, but I've learned so much from them every day.”

Sasha and Milan accompanied their mom to the 2023 MTV Video Music Awards in September 2023, where she received the prestigious Video Vanguard Award.
"Thank you MTV. Thank you for being such a big part of my career since I was only 18 years old," she said during her acceptance speech, using the platform to thank multiple people, including her sons. "Thank you so much for cheering me up and for making me feel that mama can do it all."

Milan and Sasha sang several lines during their mother's performance of her ballad, "Acróstico." Later that night, while accepting the award for Song of the Year, Shakira dedicated it to her sons, telling them that "I will be happy."

Milan and Sasha were with their mom at the 2025 Grammy Awards, where the singer won best Latin Pop Album.
Shakira took the opportunity to shout out her sons again during her acceptance speech. "I want to share this award with my kids, Milan and Sasha, who are here with me," she said.
"I'm so proud of you guys, of your kind hearts," the singer continued. "Thank you so much for supporting me the way you do. I love you."

Shakira voiced Gazelle in both Zootopia and Zootopia 2 — and her sons could also be heard in the sequel. Milan and Sasha played the little brothers of Judy Hopps (Ginnifer Goodwin).
“They were not shy at all," Shakira told Entertainment Tonight at the Zootopia 2 world premiere in November 2025, speaking about working with Milan and Sasha. "They were very spontaneous, and it was very easy to record their lines."
