Sandra Bullock has only been on social media a short while, and she's already giving fans exactly what they want: nostalgia.
The 61-year-old actress marked what fans affectionately call “Miss Congeniality Day” with a playful nod to one of her most beloved films in an Instagram post shared on Saturday, April 25.
“All you need is a light jacket,” Bullock wrote in an Instagram caption alongside a photo of herself wearing a knee-length puffer jacket, paired with a floral skirt and Chelsea boots, as she smiled at the camera.

The post also featured the song “Mustang Sally,” famously used during one of the 2000 film’s most iconic scenes — the moment her character undergoes a dramatic beauty queen makeover.
The caption, of course, is a direct callback to a fan-favorite exchange in the film. During the scene, a pageant contestant is asked to describe her perfect date and replies, “That’s a tough one. I’d have to say April 25, because it’s not too hot and not too cold. All you need is a light jacket.” The line has since taken on a life of its own, with fans celebrating the date each year.

The actress joined the social media platform on April 14, making her Instagram debut, and quickly garnered more than 4 million followers after sharing only one post — a clip of her pointing to a blender that immediately turned on, as if by magic.
She captioned the video: “Midnight somewhere…” alluding to her forthcoming film, Practical Magic 2, which is scheduled for a theatrical release on Sept. 18, 2026, and will costar Nicole Kidman.

Days later, the actress appeared at CNBC's Changemakers 2026 event in New York City, reflecting on her decision to finally join Instagram as she prepares for the release of the highly anticipated sequel.
"It didn’t feel like it would ever be my thing," the Oscar winner said. "I do have two kids, and I was like, I need to figure this out. So I’d been on social media, but quietly, just to learn and shop."
