Ryan Seacrest and Rita Ora aren't judging anyone being proactive during the long wait outside in Times Square on New Year's Eve.

The cohosts of Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve told PEOPLE in a new interview Tuesday that they've heard the stories of the things people do to withstand the frigid cold during the 8-hour live broadcast, especially when it comes to ways they handle their bodily needs.

"They do things you don't want to see them do because they're there for that long. I'm happy I've not seen them do those things," Seacrest told the outlet, while Ora specified that she's heard "the diaper stories," referencing that people have admitted to using extra absorbent underwear to take care of their business so they don't lose their place while waiting to watch the ball drop.

While Seacrest noted that he's also heard the stories, he emphasized that he has never witnessed it in person. "I've not seen it," the American Idol host said. "I just know it's happening."

Folks in the crowd may need to pack extras for this year's broadcast, which will be the longest in the special's history. Seacrest and Ora are cohosting for the third consecutive year, which they told PEOPLE they're looking forward to. "We have the same sense of humor," the singer shared. "I'm so happy to be working on this."

"We really have a good time together," Seacrest added.

The pair will have a lot to look forward to, since this year's special will feature celebrity appearances and performances from stages from across the country, with the legendary Diana Ross taking center stage as the headliner.

Meanwhile, Chance the Rapper will present the show's first-ever live countdown from his hometown of Chicago, alongside Dancing with the Stars host Julianne Hough making her New Year's Rockin' Eve debut with NFL legend Rob Gronkowski to host the Las Vegas extravaganza.

Joining the 13-time Grammy nominee is a lineup of high-profile performers, including a handful of pop icons in Mariah Carey, Chappell Roan, and Demi Lovato. Other notable names performing include Zara Larsson, 50 Cent, Post Malone, Charlie Puth, Madison Beer, Leon Thomas, AJR, Little Big Town, Russell Dickerson, The All-American Rejects, and Maren Morris.

Rounding out the lineup is Jordan Davis, 6lack, Tucker Wetmore, Pitbull, Jessie Murph, BigXthaPlug, OneRepublic, Jess Glynne, Filmore, and LE SSERAFIM.

DJ Cassidy's Pass the Mic Live! will also return, featuring Busta Rhymes, T.I. & Wyclef Jean in Las Vegas. Finally, EJAE, Audrey Nuna, and Rei Ami — the singers powering KPop Demon Hunters' girl group HUNTR/X — will also hit the stage, ensuring that everyone rings in 2026 with a golden performance.
