Ryan Seacrest and Rita Ora aren't judging anyone being proactive during the long wait outside in Times Square on New Year's Eve.

The cohosts of *Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve* told PEOPLE in a new interview Tuesday that they've heard the stories of the things people do to withstand the frigid cold during the 8-hour live broadcast, especially when it comes to ways they handle their bodily needs.

"They do things you don't want to see them do because they're there for that long. I'm happy I've not seen them do those things," Seacrest told the outlet, while Ora specified that she's heard "the diaper stories," referencing that people have admitted to using extra absorbent underwear to take care of their business so they don't lose their place while waiting to watch the ball drop.

Folks in the crowd may need to pack extras for this year's broadcast, which will be the longest in the special's* *history. "I'm so happy to be working on this."

"We really have a good time together," Seacrest added.
