Pamela Anderson previously mused about changing her last name to Hyytiäinen, but said at the 2026 Golden Globes she's sticking with Anderson
" I felt like it was a little exotic, I liked it," she told Entertainment Tonight on Sunday, Jan. 11

Pamela Anderson isn’t changing her name after all, she confirmed on the red carpet of the 2026 Golden Globes.
In a December cover story with Vogue Scandinavia, the star of The Naked Gun, 58, reflected on her close relationship with grandfather, Finnish native Herman Hyytiäinen — and suggested she'd like to adopt his last name as her own,
“Sometimes I don't want to be Pamela Anderson. I want to be Pamela Hyytiäinen,” she told the outlet. “I would like to change my name, but they won’t let me.”
But while speaking with Entertainment Tonight ahead of the Golden Globes, she said there’s no swap in the works.

"That is my grandfather's Finnish name. I felt like it was a little exotic, I liked it. But... sticking with Anderson. For now it's Anderson,” she said.
The Baywatch icon also appeared on the cover of PEOPLE in December and opened up about entering a new phase of her life. “I’m making the choices in my career and the way I look,” said the mom to sons Brandon, 29, and Dylan, 28. “I’m in control.”

Though Anderson is not a nominee at the Golden Globes this year, she was up for Best Actress in a Drama in 2025 for The Last Showgirl. He inclusion at the ceremony last January kicked off a banner year of "happy surprises" for the star, who won acclaim for her comedic turn in The Naked Gun opposite Liam Neeson.
She also appeared at the Williamstown Theatre Festival in a production of Tennessee Williams’s Camino Real and filmed the movie Love Is Not the Answer, the directorial debut from Michael Cera. She dyed her hair red for the role, but has since returned to her trademark blonde.
"Let’s just hope this is just the beginning,” she told PEOPLE, reflecting on all she had accomplished. “I’m ready for action and have this whole new inspiration and love of this industry—and life!” she says. “It’s a rebel move to be happy.”
