Tell Me Lies is bringing the drama for a third season — which includes a new cast of characters.

The Hulu drama series stars Grace Van Patten as Lucy Albright and Jackson White as Stephen DeMarco, in a volatile on-again, off-again relationship. As the series unfolds, Lucy and Stephen's tumultuous bond plays out over the course of dual timelines, from their meeting in 2007 at the fictional Baird College to eight years later in 2015.

Tell Me Lies, which is based on Carola Lovering's 2018 book of the same name, shows how their turbulent relationship changes their lives, as well as their friends and family member's lives.

While several cast members have been a constant over the show's three seasons, new stars were added in season 2. Once again, season 3, which premieres on Jan. 13, includes new additions Iris Apatow as Amanda, Costa D’Angelo as Max, Emily Meade as Mary and Michelle Nolden as Dean.

Iris Apatow as Amanda

Iris Apatow — who is Judd Apatow and Leslie Mann's younger daughter — scored the recurring role of Amanda on season 3, Deadline reported in June 2025.

The outlet described Amanda as a "bubbly but fragile college freshman keeping a big secret."

Iris got her start in the acting industry at a young age when she appeared alongside her older sister, Maude Apatow, in several of her parents' films — including Knocked Up, Funny People and This is 40.

Beyond her child acting career, Iris has appeared in the 2016 Netflix series Love and the 2024 Netflix show Unstable. In addition to her appearance in Tell Me Lies, Iris will also act in the 2026 film Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping and the upcoming movie Ballerina Overdrive.

Costa D’Angelo as Alex

Costa D’Angelo joined the season 3 Tell Me Lies cast as Alex, Deadline reported in May 2025.

Per the outlet, Alex is a "psychology grad student and part-time drug dealer who has a complicated past with Bree (Catherine Missal)."

"Although he initially comes off as aloof and borderline rude, it quickly becomes clear that there are hidden depths to him," the description teased.

D’Angelo alluded to his character's complicated dynamic by posting a screenshot of his casting announcement and vaguely captioning it "trouble @tellmelieshulu."

Prior to his time on Tell Me Lies, D'Angelo was known for his roles in the 2024 film The Deb, the Australian soap opera Neighbours and the 2023 series Crazy Fun Park. D'Angelo also has a myriad of projects in the works — including the Netflix limited series East of Eden and the movie Shiver.

Emily Meade as Mary

Emily Meade is playing Mary in at least four episodes of Tell Me Lies season 3, per the series' IMDb page. An official description for Mary has not been released, but Meade teased that her character gets in on all the action.

"Got myself involved in a little season 3 drama...," Meade captioned the Tell Me Lies season 3 trailer on Dec. 17.

Meade has been in the entertainment industry for years after getting her start in Twelve, My Soul to Take and Gimme Shelter. Since then, she's gone on to score roles in That Awkward Moment, Boardwalk Empire, Broad City, Fringe, Nerve, The Penguin and The Deuce — for which she received critical acclaim.

In addition to Tell Me Lies, Meade also has an upcoming appearance in the 2026 film Union County.

Michelle Nolden as Dean

Michelle Nolden rounds out the new cast of characters as Dean, who will appear in at least one episode.

The Canadian actress has acted in several movies and television shows over her three-decade-long career. Nolden is known for her work in The Time Traveler's Wife, Heartland, Saving Hope, Sullivan's Crossing, Northern Rescue and The Wedding Planners, among others.
