Amanda Seyfried has had a lot of fun moments behind the scenes of her many movie roles, but one such moment featuring Channing Tatum almost took a turn for the worst.
During an interview with Deadline to promote her upcoming film The Testament of Ann Lee, Seyfried recalled how she saved an unsuspecting crew member from getting caught up in the tail end of a prank while filming 2010's Dear John.
"[Tatum] and I effed with each other the entire movie in a super, super fun way," Seyfried began. "He's very, very funny, and we had a great time."

One particular instance of said "effing" around? "He peed on my leg once, without me knowing. He peed on my leg on the beach, and I didn't realize at first, and then I was like, 'Oh, that's why he's standing so close to me,'" Seyfried recalled, pulling a face.
"There was a coffee cup very close by, and a little bit got in the coffee cup, and he ran away as I was screaming. One of the makeup artists picked it up and was about to drink it, and I saved her," she concluded.

It's a remarkable unromantic moment to happen behind the scenes of the hit film, which is based off of the Nicholas Sparks novel of the same name and follows a soldier (Tatum) who falls for a college student (Seyfried) while he's home on leave, prompting the two to write letters to each other for years, although they seldom see one another.
However, the reveal does fall in line with what Seyfried has previously shared of her and Tatum's offscreen friendship.
"Channing and I have a very similar set behavior," she told E! News in June 2015. "We don't take anything too seriously, but we're shooting a movie that's very heavy, all about love and romance. It's a tear-jerker, so we just like to play around."
At the time, she dubbed Tatum her "favorite co-star thus far," but that may have changed as Seyfried developed a similar relationship with co-star Sydney Sweeney after starring in Paul Feig's erotic thriller The Housemaid.

When asked by Deadline to describe the experience of filming with Sweeney in a sentence, Seyfried said, "Bananas! Like the most delicious, not-too-ripe banana, the one that feels like a meal, but then you're hungry 15 minutes later." She added that working with Sweeney involved "a lot of laughs" and that they have "very similar processes."
"We're playing very different people at first, but then very similar people by the end," she said. "So I think the bond that we had, creating it, having the same process, feeling safe with each other, was really informative for how the entire shoot was going to go."
The film, based on Freida McFadden's 2022 bestselling novel, already has a sequel officially in the works. On Jan. 6, Lionsgate announced the next film in the franchise, The Housemaid's Secret, based on the second book in McFadden's bestselling series.
Despite Seyfried's character Nina completing her arc in the first film, she's definitely open to returning. "Oh yeah, absolutely [I'd do more films]," she previously told Entertainment Weekly. "Listen, if it doesn't do well, you can call it off, but if it does, well, it's absolutely a franchise. I didn't sign on for anything but this one because my story ends, but they know that if they make another one, I'll be a part of it, because I had so much fun with Paul."
