Former Steelers starting QB makes list of 99 biggest draft bust in sports history

The folks over at Bleacher Report took on the massive task of putting together the 99 biggest draft busts of all time. Not just the NFL draft but the biggest draft busts in all four major sports. We pored over the whole list and lo and behold, one for Pittsburgh Steelers starting quarterback made the list.

But probably not the one you think. Nope, former first-round pick Kenny Pickett wasn't in the Top 99 which we have issue with on its surface. But nope, the former Steelers quarterback here is the guy who played for two years with Pickett. Mitchell Trubisky checked in at No. 33.

Trubisky was the No. 2 overall pick in the 2017 NFL draft. He went one pick after EDGE Myles Garrett and well ahead of fellow first-round quarterbacks Patrick Mahomes and Deshaun Watson.

Trubisky joined the Steelers as a free agent the same year they drafted Pickett out of the University of Pittsburgh. Both guys were off the team in two seasons and Trubisky went 2-5 as a starter in Pittsburgh and is 31-26 lifetime across three teams.
