Erling Haaland debuted a buzz cut in a YouTube vlog, marking a dramatic change from his signature long hair
His girlfriend, Isabel Haugseng Johansen, was shocked by the transformation but later called his new look “tough”

Erling Haaland’s girlfriend, Isabel Haugseng Johansen, was left stunned when she saw his dramatic new look.
In a video shared Sunday, Aug. 23 on Haaland’s YouTube page, Johansen could hardly believe her eyes when the Norwegian soccer star, 26, traded his signature long locks for a buzz cut.
“I think I will cry,” Johansen said in the video as Haaland’s hairstylist got to work. “Oh my god,” she later said while holding a thick lock of his blond hair, held together by a hair tie.

Johansen left the room for the buzz cut, but was nearly speechless upon seeing the star striker’s finished look.
“Oh my God. Oh my God. Oh my God, darling!” Johansen exclaimed. “It looks nice! I think you look cute,” she told him.
Haaland hilariously asked, “Cute?” as his girlfriend sweetly sandwiched his face in between her hands.
“You look really tough,” Johansen quickly corrected herself before comically making a face to the camera as if she accidentally said the wrong thing.

Johansen joked she wouldn’t recognize Haaland due to his stunning transformation.

“I will wake up in the morning and be like, ‘Who’s that’?” joked Johansen, who has been dating Haaland since 2021.
Haaland then asked Johansen if she preferred his longer hair or buzzed ‘do.
“Both?” she said with uncertainty. “Good answer,” he confirmed.

In a separate clip shared Sunday on Instagram, Haaland sits in a chair as his long locks flow past his shoulders. Moments later, he put his hands over the camera to reveal the shorter style.
“New season, new trim,” the Manchester City player wrote in the caption.
Haaland also posted several selfies from the haircut, including photos that featured him in short bangs before he went for the full buzz cut.
Of his decision to cut his hair, Haaland — who became a viral sensation during this summer’s World Cup — said: “I was thinking about doing this straight after the World Cup, but I was so busy so I didn’t do it. [The] season starts now, so it’s time to get a fresh start.”
