Alison Eastwood said mom Maggie inspired her family’s love of nature, animals and compassion

Maggie and Clint Eastwood married in 1953, shared two children and remained friendly after divorcing in 1984
Clint Eastwood’s children are remembering their mom, Maggie, who died at age 94 earlier this month.
Clint and Maggie’s daughter Alison Eastwood shared the news of her mom’s death on social media, writing in a post: “This last Sunday, we said goodbye to our sweet Mama. She passed peacefully, just shy of her 95th birthday.”
The caption continued: “She had a long, amazing life. She was kind, generous, loyal, and had a great sense of humor. She instilled a deep love of nature and animals into our family, always teaching us compassion for the world around us.”

Alison, 54, added that Maggie was “fiercely supportive of my brother and I, she loved seeing him thrive as a Jazz musician and always wanted to know what animals I was rescuing and how she could help.”
“Her friend said to me the other day that she felt she was a better person for knowing my mom. Maggie was a bright, beautiful light. She will be greatly missed,” she wrote in ending the post.
Kyle Eastwood also took to the social platform to remember his mom on what would have been her 95th birthday, writing in a recent post: “Our mother Maggie passed 12 days ago. Today would have been my mom’s 95th birthday.”

“We were so fortunate to have her in our lives for so long,” Kyle, 58, added. “She gave my sister Alison and I a deep appreciation for art, music, nature, animals, and she was always looking for the beauty in everything and everyone. She was the sweetest soul and I will love and miss her forever.”
Clint, now 96, married Maggie, who was then a model, in 1953. They had two children together before divorcing in 1984, divorcing in 1984. They remained friendly, however: in 2018, Maggie was at Clint’s side for the premiere of The Mule.
Clint remarried in 1996, to television news anchor Dina Ruiz. They had one daughter, Morgan, and divorced in 2014.
The actor shares eight children with six women: Laurie, Kimber, Kyle, Alison, Scott, Kathryn, Francesca, and Morgan.
