Jonathan Anderson’s Dior Is Officially in Stores Grace Ahlbom

In June, after much anticipation, Jonathan Anderson debuted his initial offering for the house of Dior. The spring/summer 2026 menswear collection felt classically Anderson in that it embraced the earnestness of boyhood in all its prep and pastel splendor while mixing in a dash of French grandeur. In October, Anderson introduced his first womenswear collection, filled with similarly aristocratic tricorn hats, padded hips, and other mind-boggling structural silhouettes that paid both direct and indirect homage to his predecessors. In both collections, there was a cheeky feeling of costume that allowed for a bit of fun and fantasy in everyday life. Now, that fantasy has become a reality, as the men’s spring/summer 2026 and first wave of womenswear collections land in stores.

As on the runway, many of the pieces embody a youthful spirit through Anderson’s chosen motifs, including the four-leaf clover (a favorite symbol of Christian Dior), ladybug, and delicately embroidered flowers. The same could be said about his passion for quarter-zip sweaters and rugby shirts that blend seamlessly with the Napoleonic-inspired jackets and knit capes that have come to define his introductory vision. Through his first batch of ready-to-wear, Anderson demonstrates that his woman, while inspired by an even more nostalgic silhouette than recent revivals, is still at her core a modern one. Her tweed skirt suit is balanced by her wired headphones and her delicate tied collar by an inherent sense of nonchalance.

Also part of the launch: Anderson’s newly introduced accessories, including his four-leaf clover Lady Dior bag. Sensual polish and subtle twists permeate all, from the medallion belts to the flowered pointe shoe-esque sneakers. The Cigale bag, a new silhouette for the house, takes direct inspiration from Anderson’s favorite dress of the same name by Monsieur Dior. The soft bow and folded front mirror the original dress’s sloping shapes, breathing new life into archival interpretations—a sentiment that can be applied to all of Anderson’s Dior designs.
