The Avengers: Endgame rerelease gets a new title ahead of the drop this September.
The news comes with confirmation of a new intro, fresh footage, and a special end tag.
Director Joe Russo previously said the rerelease will be a "critical companion story" for Avengers: Doomsday.
New details emerged around the Avengers: Endgame rerelease, which is set for theaters later this September. That includes a new title and some goodies to be saved for cinema screens.
The rerelease will now be called Avengers: Endgame Encore. While at CineEurope in Barcelona, the official convention for International Union of Cinemas exhibitors, representatives for Disney confirmed it will also come with a custom introduction, new footage, and a special end tag that'll be exclusive to Infinity Vision and IMAX releases.
Deadline was the first to report the news.
Disney announced Infinity Vision earlier this year at CinemaCon in April. It's a new certification for premium, large-format theaters that will signify to audiences which auditoriums offer the biggest, brightest, and most immersive cinematic experiences.

It'll debut with Avengers: Endgame Encore, which is scheduled to hit screens on Sept. 25. As of this week, Infinity Vision reports they received more than 7,500 applications from global exhibitor screens seeking certification.
Joe and Anthony Russo, the directors behind Avengers: Endgame, are back in the Marvel fold as the filmmakers behind Avengers: Doomsday in December. Speaking at the Sands Film Festival in St Andrews, Scotland, this past April, Joe Russo told the audience that the Endgame rerelease will include "footage that is set in the Doomsday story."

“It’s an opportunity to create a bridge from Endgame to Doomsday in a very unique way," he said. He also described the rerelease as a "critical companion story" and a “setup for what you’re gonna watch in December when you see Avengers: Doomsday.”
Avengers: Endgame is the second highest-grossing movie of all time. After a continuous dance with James Cameron's Avatar for the top spot, it will likely hit number one with this fall's rerelease.

Avengers: Doomsday will then bring back Robert Downey Jr. as the supervillain Victor von Doom, a.k.a. Doctor Doom, after the A-lister's longtime Marvel character, Tony Stark/Iron Man, died during the events of Endgame.
"At the time, [Downey] was on his way to winning the Academy Award for Oppenheimer and there was every story about 'the greatest actor in the world,' and we thought, 'This could be it. Let's do it,'" Marvel Studios head Kevin Feige told Entertainment Weekly out of CinemaCon. "It's our universe. It's a multiverse. We can do whatever the heck we want. He played the most iconic hero. Let's have him play the most iconic villain."
Avengers: Doomsday will also feature characters from three distinct universes: the main reality of the Avengers, the one portrayed in The Fantastic Four: First Steps, and the one featuring the X-Men. The film will open in theaters Dec. 18.
