Alexandra Daddario and Finn Wittrock are portraying the couple who founded one of the world's best-known chocolate brands in their new movie.

PEOPLE is exclusively debuting the trailer for Hersheyon Monday, June 29. The movie stars Daddario, 40, as Catherine Hershey and Wittrock, 41, as Milton S. Hershey, the chocolatier and businessman who founded The Hershey Company in 1984.

The movie tracks Milton and Catherine's relationship from the time they first meet through the rest of their life together as they develop the chocolate company and Hershey, Penn.

Hershey "explores the extraordinary history of chocolate pioneer Milton Hershey and his beloved wife Catherine, revealing how a man who failed in business multiple times before creating an iconic chocolate empire chose to channel his success into a legacy of education and community that continues to transform lives today," reads an official synopsis for the film.

Alan Ruck, David Costabile, Daniel David Stewart, Dina Spybey-Waters, Francesca Faridany, Heléne Yorke, Michael Moreland Milligan and Richard Kind also costar in Hershey, from Mean Girls director Mark Waters. Bubba Fulcher, Will Hardy and Timothy Michael Hayes wrote the film's screenplay.

The movie's trailer comes roughly one year after the Hershey Company announced that the production finished filming in Pennsylvania, where the company was founded.

Hershey filmed across 17 locations across Pennsylvania and utilized over 1,500 background actors, nearly 300 period-accurate costumes for its principal stars (Daddario alone wore 54 different custom-designed costumes for the movie) and "countless thousands of pieces of chocolate."

The movie covers roughly five decades in Milton's life from the early 1870s through the 1910s, according to a release.

“Milton and Catherine Hershey’s story is one of vision, generosity, and enduring impact — but it doesn’t end with them," Peter G. Hurt, the president of the Milton Hershey School — a private K-12 school that Milton and Catherine founded in 1909 and covers all costs for its students — tells PEOPLE in a statement.

He continues, "Today, their legacy lives on through thousands of young people whose lives have been transformed—including my own—because two people chose to invest in something greater than themselves. This is a story many don’t yet know, and one we are proud — and eager — to share with the world.”
