These days, A$AP Rocky is living life on the edge.
The "Fashion Killa" rapper released "Helicopter" — the latest single from his forthcoming album Don't Be Dumb — and an accompanying animated music video on Monday, Jan. 12.
Directed by Rocky and Dan Streit, the music video — which features holographic 3D rendering and resembles a video game — begins with Rocky, 37, flying a toy helicopter. Then, chaos ensues as he takes part in rooftop ragers, streets brawls and Rocky recklessly flies through the city in his D.B.D. plane. At the end, Rocky — born Rakim Mayers — experiences a dramatic plane when the cord he was hanging from on the helicopter is cut.

The song itself features high-energy beats and Rocky's classic wordplay.
"Take my white tee off, spin it like a helicopter / Take my wife beat' off, spin it like a helicopter," he raps in the chorus. "F--- with young Pretty Flacko, I Petey pop you (Yeah) / F---in' with that Pretty Flacko, might Petey pop you (Yeah, GRIM, uh)."
On Instagram, Rocky announced the music video's release — and stressed that the video was not AI generated.

"Helicopter" follows the release of "Punk Rocky," which will also be featured on Don't Be Dumb. Rocky's fourth studio album will drop on Jan. 16. Fans can presave the album here.
In the music video for "Punk Rocky," the rapper tapped Winona Ryder to play his neighbor, who brings cookies and dances with Rocky during a chaotic garage jam session.
Don't Be Dumb will be Rocky's first release in eight years. In December, he released the cover art, which he created in collaboration with Tim Burton.

The cover art features six of Rocky's personas and is meant to "offer a window of unforgettable moments across the course of Rocky's illustrious career," according to a press release. The six personas include GR1M, MR. MAYERS, RUGAHAND, BABUSHKA BOI, DUMMY and SHIRTHEAD.
In February, the "Sundress" artist told GQ his fourth studio album was in the process of being mixed and mastered.
“People are tired of hearing about updates about the album,” Rocky told the outlet at the time.
He continued, “They're just ready to get this s---, you know what I'm saying? I don't think anybody wants to hear where I'm at with it, how far is it along and all that. They just want to hear some s--- just to see where I'm at, and I promise I got some new s--- in store. I'm challenging myself. It's like anything, I approach it with a different tactic, degree, or finesse.”
