At age 10, Audrey Tyrell, 13, was diagnosed with a rare genetic disorder called Usher syndrome
The condition means Audrey will eventually lose her eyesight, so the teen's mom, Tracey, said she should create a bucket list of things she wants to experience before her vision goes
Appearing on U.K. show This Morning on Jan. 6., Audrey revealed her bucket list, which includes swimming with dolphins, visiting Vatican City and running a marathon, while she was also surprised by a Stranger Things star
A teen who has been diagnosed with a condition that will eventually take her eyesight has created a bucket list of everything she wants to do before that happens.
Audrey Tyrell, 13, was diagnosed with Usher syndrome, a rare condition that causes hearing and vision loss, when she was 10 years old, she shared on the U.K. show This Morning on Tuesday, Jan. 6.
Audrey recalled having difficulties with her vision before being diagnosed. “When I was in the dark, I couldn't see as much as normal people could and my parents picked up on it,” she said while joined by her mother, Tracey, on the show.
Audrey visited Great Ormond Street Hospital in London to get tested and found out she had Usher syndrome.
Usher syndrome is a rare inherited disorder that causes hearing and vision loss and balance issues. Symptoms of the condition are typically present at birth or develop during childhood, according to the Cleveland Clinic.

Audrey was diagnosed with type 2 of the disorder, which causes moderate to severe symptoms. She was also diagnosed with bilateral sensorineural hearing loss, an effect of Usher syndrome, as a baby.
Audrey’s mother, Tracey, said that “there's no deadline” for when her vision loss will occur, making the prognosis particularly difficult to navigate. The pair then came up with the idea to create a bucket list of experiences Audrey can enjoy before losing her sight.
“It could be any time from now. And that's why we thought we didn't want to sit around waiting for something like that to happen and then wishing that we'd done certain things, or seen certain things, made certain memories,” Tracey said on the show.
Revealing her colorful, handwritten list on the show, Audrey shared that some of the experiences she has already ticked off her bucket list include visiting the Eiffel Tower in Paris, going to a cat cafe, seeing Frozen the Musical and going to a rainforest.
Meanwhile, just some of the experiences left on her impressive list include visiting Vatican City, going on a cruise, running a marathon, swimming with dolphins and visiting the Christ the Redeemer statue in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
While on This Morning, Audrey also discussed her love for the hit Netflix show Stranger Things, having stayed up to watch the season finale on New Year's Eve with her family.

The teen was then surprised by fellow guest, Nell Fisher, who played Holly Wheeler in the show’s fifth and final season — along with tickets to the play, Stranger Things: First Shadow, a prequel to the show, on the West End.
“Now you can add an extra one [to tick off on your bucket list], which is going to see Stranger Things on the West End,” said host Ben Shephard.
